The Hamptons Designer Showhouse for 2009 was recently completed in Water Mill by the notorious Farrell Building Corp who helped Wall Street build a kajillion McMansions out here in the hey day of fat mortgages and free reign. Somehow he still seems to be flying high even though the securities on Wall Street aren't anymore. Hmmm? It is a stunning and fresh take on the classic Hamptons shingle style home accompanied by a gorgeous pool house. Traditional Home magazine is the media sponsor. It features over twenty-five blessedly talented interior designers and decorators. The showhouse is a major fundraiser for Southampton Hospital which is our only major medical facility on the South Fork - think about that if you were to need immediate attention! The Hamptons Designer Showhouse will be open to the public from Sunday, July 26th through September 6th.
